Harris Weaving Looms has been the choice of textile designers, craft weavers, schools, colleges and universities since 1939 and the principles of Dr Harris’ design, featuring hardwood and an easy action shedding mechanism, are continued to this day.
Our skilled team hand construct and finish every loom here in Britain, using prime grade beech wood that’s steamed and kiln dried and certified by the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest). The timber we use is close grained, splinter resistant, hardwearing and finished with a Waterborne Lacroma Lacquer finish.
Our table looms are available in 4, 8 and 16 shafts with weaving widths of 38cm (15”) or 61cm (24”). If you already own a Harris Loom, arches are available to convert to a higher shaft capacity (applicable to 4 and 8 shaft looms only), enabling your loom to develop with your growing skills – reassuring for beginners who are looking to invest in their first loom! We offer folding stands too, allowing you to turn your table loom into a floor standing one and, there’s the option of having an 8 and 16 shaft loom built onto a heavy floor stand.
Harris Loom accessories are also available, providing everything you need to set up your loom for weaving.
