MA Fashion Exhibition – 15 – 25 April
Currently taking place at the Lethaby Gallery is the ‘Nude Fashion Exhibition’, showcasing a body of work from MA fashion graduates of Central Saint Martins. This exhibition is also a continuation of the graduate show, seen during London Fashion Week.

‘Taster’ Introduction to silver metal clay – 26 April
The Introduction to Silver Clay workshop is designed for those who have no previous experience of working with metal clay. The taster course involves handling and forming the texture with essential techniques to achieve a professional finish to your work. Cockpit Arts Open Studios – Holborn: 8-10 May Deptford: 15-17 May
As part of London Craft Week this Spring, Cockpit Arts will open its doors to the public. “This is a rare opportunity for visitors to see behind the scenes, meet 170 talented makers over two sites and buy beautifully crafted work direct from independent designers”. The two sites will feature textiles, ceramics and jewellery among other crafts as well as locally sourced foods and the chance to win vouchers worth £100!

Graduate Fashion Week – 30 May – 02 June
Taking place at the Truman Brewery, East London, Graduate Fashion Week celebrates students’ and graduates’ creativity within the world of fashion. GFW also provides students the opportunity to share their final collections and portfolios to the fashion industry and prospective employers.
Each year the event features 22 catwalk shows and attracts 30,000 guests; making GFW a prominent platform for promoting new talent.
University of Brighton are one of the universities taking part and have a Kick Starter page where you can back the show.
New Designers Event – 24–27 June 01–04 July
At New Designers you can discover a range of new products for your home and get inspired by fresh ideas.
The event is made up of 3,000 of the most talented graduates from a variety of universities, providing an opportunity to discover the latest design talent to commission or recruit.
The show features textiles; jewellery; product design; illustration and much more, all set in the Business Design Centre, London.
International Jewellery London – 6 – 8 Sept
Taking place in Olympia, London, is the International Jewellery London event. IJL have been delivering this event for 60 years which features a wide range of exhibitors, from big brands to emerging talent.
Also taking place at the event is Kickstart which is aimed at new UK designers who are looking for the next step for their business. Ten of the best up-and-coming jewellery designers have been chosen by the British Jewellers’ Association and IJL to showcase their jewellery this year
Ten up-and-coming designers have been selected by the British Jewellers’ Association and IJL, to have the unique opportunity to showcase their jewellery at IJL 2015 on a group stand in the prestigious Design Gallery. The BJA will also provide mentoring after the event.
Goldsmiths’ Fair – 22 – 27 September
Goldsmiths have recently announced the names of the 168 jewellers and silversmiths who will be exhibiting their designs at this year’s fair. This consists of 10 of the most talented recent graduates and 15 first-time exhibitors. Daphne Krinos is one of the designers who will be attending the event and here she shares an interesting story of inspiration behind one of her statement City Rings at Goldsmiths’ Fair 2014.
